Distant Hills is a modern family run guest house providing a good quality Bed and Breakfast service. Spean Bridge is set amongst beautiful mountain scenary and is a only short drive from Ben Nevis and Loch Ness.

On the outskirts of Spean Bridge, near Fort William, Distant Hills Guest House provides an ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty of the Highlands. In the surroundings you can enjoy walking, climbing, skiing, bird-watching, canoeing, horse-riding and fishing. Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, is also nearby.

Distant Hills Guest House provides stylish 4-star accommodation in a spacious bungalow. Furthermore, there is a beautiful garden for you to enjoy and, on those cold evenings, you can choose a DVD to watch in the lounge.

Hotel information	For your relaxation, the house features a comfortable, well furnished lounge with quiet outlook over the Nevis Range mountains. A DVD library is also available. Run by Peter and Lesley McIntosh, during your stay you can be assured of a pleasant and relaxing experience complemented by a friendly, personal service.

Room information	All the attractively furnished bedrooms are fully equipped with ensuite facilities, colour TV, hospitality trays, mineral water and a luxury range of soaps, shampoos and shower gels. Luxury continues with fabulous soft white bath sheets and towels with lots of other little touches.

Food & beverage	The pleasant dining room offers good home cooking prepared from traditional Scottish ingredients, locally sourced where possible. The breakfast menu offers a wide range of dishes including vegetarian options to set up guests for a full day’s walking or touring in the Highlands. Breakfast is served from 08:00 to 09:00.

Travel information	By Car: From Fort William: - Head north on the A82 for approximately 8 miles. - Once you reach the village of Spean Bridge take the A86 junction on your right after you cross the River Spean. - The road signs will say Roy Bridge. - Distant Hills is 500 metres along this road on your right. There is also a train station on the main line from Glasgow to Fort William and the village is also very well served by buses from Glasgow, Inverness and Skye.
